Apollo E-Cigarette Review

apollo e-cig reviewApollo has been producing and manufacturing e cigs since the beginning and they have a manufacturing and R&D facility. Having supplied the US market, they are venturing into the UK market.

Apollo Standard Kit costing £44.95 comes in an impressive box with a magnetic lid containing the following:-

2     Batteries (one manual and one automatic)

1     PCC (Portable Charging Case)

5    Cartomisers

1    Charger

This kit comes with the option of 2 manual or 2 automatic batteries or you can opt for 1 manual and 1 automatic either in black or white colour. The manual has a button at the side which has to be pressed to activate it while the automatic is activated by taking a drag. The manual gives a better vape as it heats up the e-liquid when you take a drag.

They both perform very well and due to their quality built they feel good in the hand. The batteries are 180mAh and like all mini e-cigs you can get easily 2 hours between charges.

The best thing about this kit is it comes with a portable charging case (PCC). This enables you to charge your battery while on the move. A fully charged PCC can easily recharge 5 batteries. It has an inbuilt digital battery meter on the front which enables you gauge the amount charge left.

Apollo E-CigarettesTo optimise this feature, you should leave to PCC to charge overnight so you can use it the next day without worrying about running out of power.

All in all, both the battery and the PCC are of superb make and perform very well. The Apollo website provides variable options to cater to everyone’s needs.

Even though the Standard Starter kit comes with 5 cartomisers, you have the option of choosing empty cartomiser enabling you to use the e-liquid of your choice. This is unique to Apollo so as not to limit your choices. For all seasoned e-cig vapers, this is a plus.

You also have the option to choose the flavours; cherry, tobacco, vanilla, cherry, coffee or menthol; or get the variety pack which consist all 5 flavours. Not forgetting the choices for nicotine strengths which are 0mg, 6mg, 12mg or 16mg.

All the flavours provided are superb. The best being the tobacco as it gives the best combination of throat hit and vapour volume. If you like it sweet then the cherry will suit you however although it provides good vapour volume, the throat hit is not as good. The vanilla flavour is quite good but like the cherry, the throat hit is not satisfying. The coffee flavour is the least favourable as it taste like mocha rather than coffee. The menthol is vapeable leaving a cool icy aftertaste but not as good as other brands.

On the whole, the flavours were good except for the coffee. The throat hit varies with the flavour with the tobacco leading the list having the best vapour volume. The option to purchase blank cartomisers is the best part.

The Apollo Standard Kit is a good option for beginners. The inclusion of the PCC enables you to charge the battery all day anywhere. For experienced vapers, the option to buy blank cartomiser will convince them to buy the kit.
