If you are new to the world of electronic cigarettes you won’t probably know much about e-liquids. Don’t worry; you don’t need to know much about it in order to get started. Most first timers use disposable e-cigs which makes a lot of sense as you don’t need to know much and everything is chosen for you.
Disposable e-cigs make sense for beginners but if you become a regular user of e-cigs it is wiser to move onto refillable type of e-cigs. When you do so, you’ll need to learn more about e-liquids.
What is E-Liquid?
E-liquid is the “juice” that goes inside your electronic cigarette. It is the essence of the e-cigarette. Everything else is just hardware and the real cigarette is all in the e-liquid. The choice of e-liquid is essentially like choosing a favourite brand of tobacco.
The e-liquid contains nicotine (except in the nicotine free varieties), flavours and a suspension liquid. The flavours can be artificial or natural. The suspension fluid is either propylene glycol or vegetable glycerine. Vegetable glycerine is now being preferred by most users and brands because it is naturally sourced and much less harmful than propylene glycol.
E-liquid is used to refill the e-cigarette with the juice when it runs out. You can get e-liquids in different flavours and nicotine strengths from all e-cig manufacturers and some companies that only sell e-liquids.
You can mix and match to create your own personal flavour and strength to get the perfectly customised e-cig that suits you the most. Using refillable e-cigs gives you the ability to create your own flavours and also saves a lot of money in the long run.
How to Choose the Best E-Liquid?
When it comes to choosing the best e-liquid for you, it can be hard because of the huge variety of e-liquids on offer. There are thousands of e-liquids to choose from if you combine the different brands and all the flavours and strengths they offer. On top of that you can also mix two or more liquids to create your own personal favourite flavour.
I can’t tell you which e-liquid is the best because it comes down to personal preference. I like strong and slightly bitter flavours but you might like minty menthol flavours while a third person will prefer fruity or exotic flavours. It all comes down to personal preference. The only way to go is to try as many e-liquids as you can and find the one that suits you best.
Another tip to remember is to make the most of the free trial offers that almost all brands have. This is a great way to get to know the flavours of all brands before you choose your favourites. I have posted various reviews on the site.
You can buy a selection box from most brands that have all of their flavours in small bottles for you to try. In this way you can eliminate the flavours you don’t like and hone in on a couple of your favourite flavours. Once you have chosen the ones you like, you can purchase the bigger bottles of those e-liquids that will last longer.
In the end it comes down to you. What I or someone else likes might not appeal to you as much. So try as many e-liquids as you can and find your own favourites. Use hit and trial to mix and match different flavours that you think will go well together to get the perfect flavour.
